Set over three hours during one night in Manila, this novel intertwines three stories: the shady dealings of gangsters, the tautly and emotionally drawn tale of a Phillipino family and the violent lives of a gang of street kids, until their different lives collide in a shattering finale.

Quick easy read

This was a decent book, for those who are into travelling, some taut suspense, and some other stuff maybe.

I think it was Alex Garland's first book if I'm correct. Or maybe that was The Beach. This isn't as good, but it was pretty good nonetheless and didn't take much time to get through.
